Alliance University, Master's in Counseling, MBA

Hey there! My name is Pattie. As an Associate Professional Counselor, I am passionate about empowering vulnerable populations, specifically, children within their families. I believe enabling the voiceless affords them an opportunity to develop emotional intelligence and stress management within their village. It is within this perspective, I have dedicated 20 plus years of working with youth. Some of my experiences consist of working as a school based clinician for middle school and college students, as well as an in-home based family counselor for children and families in crisis ages 1-17. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, creative writing, traveling, hiking and exploring new restaurants. As a mental health therapist, I support clients facing mental health challenges to elevate their mindset, develop effective coping strategies, and improve self-awareness. It is my belief that therapy is a process of restoration to repair confidence in recovering individuality, lost aspirations and purpose. Through therapy, I am committed to providing a safe, nonjudgemental space for clients struggling with negative thoughts, depression, rage and pain. My unique specialities include child and adolescent therapy, family counseling, grief and anxiety. With that being said, I implement CBT, DBT, and a Person-Centered eclectic approach to guide my clients’ in their healing journey. To this end, my goal is to deepen the client’s knowledge of being uniquely designed, improving their soundness of mind and quality of life. I am excited to meet and connect with you.
