I specialize in working with children and adolescents, with a background in Public Service, Education, and Mental Health. I understand how difficult school and life can be when young people are facing challenging emotions or circumstances. My goal is to help guide them through these moments by providing a nonjudgmental, safe space where they feel heard, supported, and empowered with the tools they need to thrive. I tailor each session to meet the specific needs of the child or teen, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also integrate holistic and mindfulness-based practices to support overall emotional well-being. For younger children, I often use the Zones of Regulation framework to build emotional awareness and coping skills, and I actively collaborate with parents to create a consistent support system at home and school. My journey into mental health began during my seven years working with foster care families. That experience fueled my passion to help children understand the importance of their thoughts, feelings, and the life skills needed to navigate both. As I transitioned into the field of Education, I saw firsthand the critical need for mental health awareness and stronger support systems for students. This naturally led me to my greatest passion: School-Based Mental Health and Counseling. I particularly enjoy working with elementary and middle school students, helping them understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through age-appropriate psychoeducation, emotional regulation tools, and creative strategies, I support students in building confidence, resilience, and self-awareness. Outside of work, I love spending time with those I care about, going to the movies, and practicing Reiki and sound healing. I’m also an animal lover—especially horses and dogs—and I cherish moments of playfulness, laughter, and the occasional solo dance party. Being silly and open allows me to connect authentically with the children and families I serve.
