As a child of a single mother with serious mental health issues, I am dedicated to helping children and families thrive through life's unique challenges. I believe that every child has inner strength, and that my work is to help nurture their resilience. The journey to becoming a child therapist was inspired by understanding how a supportive environment can make all the difference in a child’s life. For fun, I raise award winning show cats and attend cat shows. I also enjoy singing in choirs and, on rainy days, I really enjoy curling up with cozy English murder mystery and a hot cup of tea. I use creative and engaging therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. I believe a systemic, whole-family approach is important, and recognize that a child’s well-being is connected to the health of the entire family. I work with both children and parents to build a collaborative space where everyone can be heard and understood. I believe one of the most important things I can do is help my young clients develop into confident, happy people.
