Hello, my name is Brittney Bastida. I am a passion-driven person committed to staying connected to the things that inspire me. For me, passion is not just about excitement, it’s about grounding, clarity, and finding small moments of meaning, even during challenging times. This belief shapes how I show up in my work and in my relationships with others. Creativity plays a big role in my everyday life. I love using my passion for dancing and music as a way to move, express myself, and reconnect with my body. I also enjoy crafting, as it gives me a chance to slow down and enjoy the process of creating something new. Birding is another hobby close to my heart. Spending time observing birds has taught me how powerful it can be to pause, look around, and be able to observe the rhythm of nature. It’s a gentle reminder that there is always more happening around us than we might realize. I have experience working with children and youth in a variety of settings, including schools, healthcare environments, and childcare programs. Through these roles, I’ve learned how important it is to approach each situation with patience, flexibility, and care. Every child and young person brings their own experiences and challenges, and I value creating spaces where they feel supported, seen, and understood. A key part of how I support others is through what I call the “Bird’s-Eye Perspective.” This idea is about helping people step back and notice the bigger picture, especially during times when things feel overwhelming or hard to process. When someone is going through a lot, it can be difficult to pause and reflect. I enjoy helping others recognize the supports, strengths, and moments of calm that exist around them, even when they feel out of reach.
