I have worked as a counselor in the school setting almost 20 years. I have also worked in Mental Health with adults and children for over 15 years. I also have experience working in the college setting in the Counseling Center. I am very familiar with adolescent concerns as it relates to life transitions, depression, anxiety, sexual issues (involving identity as well), career/college planning, boosting confidence and self-esteem. When I was in school I played several sports and went to college on a volleyball and track scholarship. I understand the demands of being a student athlete and the challenges that come along with it. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. My ideal client is someone who may feel anxious or stuck. Despite their efforts they are having a hard time figuring things out on their own due to self-doubt, anxiety, procrastination, and/or uncertainty. Sometimes a person needs guidance finding clarity, gaining courage, and/or reassurance. I can provide a safe space where they feel heard and never judged. I can provide an avenue to identify what keeps them stuck in the place they're in and create a platform for them to make confident choices. Together, we identify what is holding them back from growth and improvement.
