How Daybreak aligns with Florida’s Project AWARE:

Project AWARE: Goal 1

Increase youth access to mental health services and supports within a multitiered framework.

Daybreak Alignment

Daybreak’s school-based 1:1 teletherapy programs are designed for middle and high school students struggling with anxiety and/or depression.

All of Daybreak’s teletherapy programs require parental consent and monthly check-ins with parents. School staff also has monthly check-ins, visibility into services via a real-time dashboard, and access to impact metrics.

Project AWARE: Goal 2

Increase implementation of evidence-based, culturally responsive mental health practices.

Daybreak Alignment

Our evidence-based teletherapy programs for K-12 students have proven to positively impact academic outcomes like behavioral improvements, better grades, and higher attendance. We personally match our students to their therapist based on presenting needs, cultural background, language, and personal preferences.

Project AWARE: Goal 3

Increase awareness of mental health issues within our youth, families, schools and communities.

Daybreak Alignment

Daybreak provides a library of live, virtual classes—led by licensed clinicians—for families and school staff to learn about youth mental health and how we can effectively understand, identify, and support kids needs.

Empowering students to be their best selves.

When kids are mentally healthy, they can think clearly, pay better attention, and learn new skills. Our evidence-based teletherapy programs for K-12 students have proven to positively impact academic outcomes like behavioral improvements, better grades, and higher attendance.
