CSU Northridge, Master's in Social Work
Hey there! My name is Maria. I have been an associate social worker for over a year. I enjoy a good cup of coffee from various coffee shops in my area, putting together a new Lego set, spending time with my dogs, and going to the movies as a form of self-care for myself. Fun fact: I am left handed. My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed by the weight of their emotions such as feeling anxious, burned out, or quietly struggling with sadness they can’t fully explain. They may appear high-functioning on the outside, but inside, they’re exhausted from overthinking, people-pleasing, or constantly feeling “not enough.” What they want isn’t perfection; it’s peace. They long for clarity, self-acceptance, and a way to manage their mental health that feels sustainable and real. They need a safe, nonjudgmental space to be heard, to unpack what they’re carrying, and to make sense of what they feel. My specialty lies in offering emotionally attuned support that combines compassionate reflection with practical tools. Whether it's learning to manage anxiety, set boundaries, or quiet their inner critic, I help them reconnect with their inner strength by walking beside them as they learn to trust themselves again. I understand that healing doesn’t happen overnight, and I meet them exactly where they are, with empathy, patience, and respect for their journey.
