Emily Alegria

Azusa Pacific University, Master's in Clinical Psychology

"I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families across a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. My clinical background includes working with mood and anxiety concerns, emotional regulation, social skills development, and neurodevelopmental differences. I am trained in evidence-based and developmentally informed approaches, including CBT-informed interventions, Parent Management Training, and DIR®/Floortime™, and I value meeting clients where they are in a way that feels supportive, respectful, and collaborative. In addition to my clinical work, I have experience in program coordination and administrative roles that support service delivery, scheduling, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. This dual background allows me to approach mental health care with both clinical insight and organizational awareness, helping ensure that care is thoughtful, accessible, and well-coordinated for clients and families. I believe meaningful change happens when caregivers, clinicians, and systems work together in a consistent and transparent way. My interest in mental health is closely tied to my belief in the power of connection, safety, and authenticity. I strive to create therapeutic spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to better understand their emotions, relationships, and strengths. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals as they build emotional awareness, coping skills, and trust in themselves and others. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with my dogs. I love creating cozy, organized spaces and value moments of quiet reflection as much as community and connection. I also genuinely enjoy planning and organizing, which shows up both professionally and personally. A fun fact about me is that I find comfort and inspiration in routines—whether that’s a morning walk, a good book, or time spent outdoors. I bring warmth, structure, and compassion into my work and remain committed to ongoing learning and growth as a mental health professional."
