Supporting diverse individuals & families as a biracial Black woman has shown me how powerful it can be to navigate life with the support of a person from a shared set of experiences & understanding. Some of my favorite therapeutic moments have been when issues of race, gender, sexuality & other cultural identities are safely and openly discussed. I am committed to honor the space I share with children, youth, and families by creating a place where our whole selves are truly seen, heard, & valued. I have worked with/learned from my clients who have experienced trauma, loss, grief, anxiety, depression, and more. I’m always amazed at people’s capacity for healing and joy amidst difficult times. In my own journey of healing, I’m grateful for people who shared skills and tools for me to adapt to my needs. It’s my hope to provide similar opportunities with others and have a shared experience of self-discovery and growth. The principles and values of social work speak to me, especially the values of service, enhancing the dignity & worth of others, and the importance of human relationships. I’m a California native and love traveling, animals, writing, music, and boxing. My favorite part of traveling has been meeting wonderful people hearing their stories.
